Tubetorial #2 - What’s Your Information Product About?

by Martin Neumann on September 8, 2006

Now we’re getting into the nitty-gritty with Episode 2 of Tubetorial’s 7 Steps to Creating and Selling a Niche Information Product.

Episode # 2 titled What’s Your Information Product About? is actually the first step in the 7 part series.

The first part of the episode is pretty basic stuff but many fail in this area. Quotes that should resonate with information publishers include: “it’s not about you it’s about the buyer” … “make something people want” - and a nice cafepress tie-in to get that point across.

Brian then talks about generating ideas, including his favorite: the good old joint venture.

He touches on Alexis Dawes great product Desperate Buyers Only, which I reviewed a while back.

He then follows up by discusing search engine keyword research and utilizing Google’s PPC AdWords to test and survey a potential market.

This is all good quality information - and in the 6 and a half minutes of the screencast there’s lots of food for thought - he ends up teasing us with what’s coming up in the next episode - which is a case study.

The best pull-out quote from episode #2…

Smart information marketers identify demand and then they figure out a way to supply it.

Take a look at Episode #2 at Tubetorial… as it definately steers you in the right direction to producing a successful information product.
