Return of the eBook?

TrustedReviews, the UK online magazine touting itself as the UK’s Premier Source for IT Reviews & News, has an in-depth look at eBooks.
On the issue of DRM:
I am definitely not a fan of DRM. I don’t want to buy a copy of a book that is tied to a device. I don’t want to have to buy a separate electronic copy of a paper book I am reading.
The article goes into depth on the upcoming release (April ‘06) of the eReader, iLiad (from iRex Technologies). Once again, no pricing is given for the device but the review is quite positive.
Once again, E-Ink is discussed:
E-Ink looks set to make some waves over the next year or so, and I’ve got my eye on it!

Yes … this is an arena that’s being created as we speak. DRM is just maturing as a kind of online copyright / patenting system. Companies, like Google, are pushing the limits to test the law or lack of it. Some very significant developments are going on right now.

I think the DRM issue is the breaking point in the future of eBooks - if all the players can get it right and agree on some standards then away we go with eBooks.
I’m watching all this very closely - especially the response to Google’s “pushing the limits”.
Do you know of any specific DRM sites/blogs?

A quick look and I can see I need to spend some time there to catch up on all the DRM action …
