Successful information publishers don’t just sell the one product to a customer.

No, the game plan is to sell over and over and over to the same customer: in other words… repeat sales.


This is the foundation of a successful information product business (in fact, any successful business) and those that do it well understand how important repeat business is.

Mike Sigers writing over at Simplenomics has written Mike’s 8 Simple Rules For Repeat Sales.

Mike hits it right on the head…

You might get lucky and sell a customer once, but to sell him over and over takes a real salesman.

And here are his 8 rules for repeat sales…

  1. Give them what they asked for
  2. Deliver quality
  3. Don’t oversell them
  4. Become a valued team member
  5. Keep them informed
  6. Tell the truth
  7. Show appreciation for past sales
  8. Show interest
