Instant Download is Expected and E-junkie Can Do it For You

by Martin Neumann on September 4, 2006

To be successful selling online products today, instant download is expected. Forget in 24 hours or the next business day - today, it’s instant gratification. It’s a service that you simply must provide.

I’ve recently come across E-junkie that sparked my interest because it can help you do just that.

What does E-Junkie do?

… help you sell downloads. We deliver your product if you are selling digital content like e-books, mp3, software … You can sell your product on your website, eBay, Yahoo! stores or any other website. Your buyer will pay you directly in your PayPal account and we will provide instant, automatic and secure download of your product.

It’s a useful service, one that many publishers should look into.

A fairly basic offering - starting at $5 per month you can have up to 10 products (maximum space of 50Mb) listed on your E-junkie account. There is no limit on the number of sales or bandwidth.

What happens when a customer buys?

After a successful payment, your customer is redirected to the instant download of your product. If you are using a shopping cart, then the customer is taken to a download page with list of purchased products. Customer is also sent download link(s) in the email.

Checking out E-junkies features page and I’m even more impressed. There’s nothing that does it for me than a business that focuses on what they’re offering, sticks to it and doesn’t try to be everything to everyone.

On current reading and asking around I think I’ll be giving them a try shortly.

Have you had any experiences with E-junkie? We’d love to hear them here.

So this is like Clickbank without the commission (and the affiliate program too, of course).

Interesting, but it seems to me that those who were ready to graduate away from Clickbank would look for something comprehesive and more powerful like One Shopping Cart or the like.

Perhaps this is a good intermediate solution.

    Brian,

I like it because it’s simple. It does what it says it does and nothing else.

I also like the people behind it. They put up a nice story.

It also depends on what you’re after. I know of many who would like to test the waters with information products without too much hassle - this is a good, cost-effective way.

When I consult with people one of the most common queries they have is they want to start off simple and learn the ropes.

Oh, no doubt the way to go if you’re really looking at going full-on in information publishing is with a all-in-one service. It costs and there’s a decent learning curve with it. I know from experience.

1MerchantCart would be my favorite and recommendation - but I’m biased because I’m currently wrapping up a screencast how-to product on 1MerchantCart. :-)

I’m good, eh - plugging my consulting service and a future e-product all in the one comment.

    BTW, looking forward to Tubetorial.
