Google to Rival PayPal … Finally

by Martin Neumann on February 7, 2006

Well what a day to launch a new blog when such news hits the blogosphere.

ProBlogger.net reports: Google GBuy to Rival PayPal:

There is lots of news around today about Google’s upcoming launch of the so called ‘GBuy’ payment product and how it will rival eBay’s PayPal system.

During my research in setting up ePublishingDaily.com and KickstartPress.com I came to the totally non-scientific conclusion (okay, surveyed 187 e-authors) that more than 85% of them currently use PayPal as their sole method of accepting payments. So, this new entrant, if directly competing against PayPal is big news for the digital information products industry

There’s lots of buzz going around the web with many reporting this - so, tommorrow morning I’ll be sitting down with a cup of strong coffee and doing the rounds.
