A Weekend of Tinkering
As you can see, a little bit of tweaking went on here - gosh damn it, why doesn’t it ever work the same in Firefox as well as in Internet Explorer??? I wasted a good hour or three tweaking bits n’ pieces of this code to get it to fit so that it would show properly in IE.
I swear if IE doesn’t become css standands compliant in version 7 I’m putting up a huge sticker here reading:
Pleeease readers of ePubDaily: Piss Off IE and Move to FireFox!!! Do it for my Sanity!!!
Okay, I’ve calmed down now.
The changes: I’ve polished up the header and changed the tag line. The tag line used to be: write, design, package & sell information products and it’s now helping bloggers succeed with information publishing.
The origianl tagline still basically applies - there’s been no real change of focus here - it’s just I’m differentiating myself in that my target audience is other bloggers. So if you’re not a blogger then this is no place for you … only kidding! Everyone is welcomed here. The topics I write about encompass the whole process of developing and marketing information products.
I’ve also added the Sociable plugin so that you can share my wonderful posts with your favorite social bookmarking sites.
Other than that I’ve widened the right sidebar because I have future plans for that space - I’m not telling just yet.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and please look forward to a handful of posts to appear here this week. I have a feature post coming out on Wednesday on ClickBank and I’ll also be talking about WordPress plugins for ecommerce blogs, back-end marketing and I have a post titled “Strip that Sidebar”.
Oh … and check my ePublishing Shop (aka the place where I’ve put all my affiliate products I’m recommending and expect my loyal readers to look, see, click, read and hopefully buy.) - I’ve given it a bit of spit and polish.
Have a good week y’all…

Looks great. I like the tag line. I’m curios about this:
“I’ve also added the Sociable plugin so that you can share my wonderful posts with your favorite social bookmarking sites.”
How do you do that?

i feel your pain on the IE thing martin. it took me a bit to figure out the margins and such with IE vs firefox. the good news is it look like ie7 eliminates the problem.

ann michael - thanks for your curiosity.
The Sociale plugin - I too thought it would be a task but surprisingly it was easy to do.
Here’s the link for the plugin
Install in the plugin folder, activiate and head on over to Options > Sociable
Michael - Hey stranger, are you getting back into the blogoshpere? :-)
I’ve also read that ie7 will become css compliant - not sure why they’ve waited till now - they had the opportunity years ago to do this.
It’s been a pain in the ass over the years having to code basically for 2 browsers - it’s those small tweaking one has to do on IE that has wasted many hundreds of hours.
